Switching wallets to testnet

To get Test ADA (tADA)

1. Go to https://testnets.cardano.org/en/testnets/cardano/tools/faucet/
2. Ensure your wallet is in testnet mode
3. Get a receive address from your Testnet wallet. You will notice the address starts with “addr_test…”
4. Paste the testnet address into the faucet address, leave API key blank, and fill in the reCAPTCHA. Click Request funds.
5. You will receive 1000tADA in your testnet wallet.

Change Nami to Testnet 

1. Open Nami
2. Click your profile picture top right
3. Go to settings
4. Click Network
5. Change toggle to Testnet (This will not affect your mainnet wallet)
6. Click back to your wallet. You will see the bottom left of Nami says “Testnet”

Change Nami back to Mainnet 

1. Open Nami
2. Click your profile picture top right
3. Go to settings
4. Click Network
5. Change toggle to Main-net (This will not affect your main-net wallet)
6. Click back to your wallet. You will see the bottom left of Nami no longer says “Test-net”

Change Eternl to Testnet 

1. Open Eternl wallet
2. At the bottom right of the screen, locate the button 'Mainnet'
3. Click 'Mainet' and select ' Testnet'
4. You can now create a new wallet (or restore) for testnet (This will not affect your mainnet wallet)
5. You will see the bottom right of Eternl says “Testnet”

Change Flint to Testnet 

1. Open Flint wallet
2. Click swap wallet button (top right)
3. Click '+ Add Wallet' at the bottom
4. Pick a network: Ensure you select Testnet
5. Create/Restore a testnet wallet for testing
